We hear this at least every day! Maxwell does have a lot of hair and on most days it's standing up straight. No, I do not style it this way. At least not yet :)
Maxwell didn't have his first bath in the hospital until right before we were discharged. I remember the volunteer who gave him his bath told us that his hair was curly when it was wet. We were surprised by this! I guess we couldn't really tell that about his hair when he was first born, especially because he had his beanie hat on most of the time.
Sure enough when we gave him a bath at home a few days later, little curls formed as soon as it was wet. An hour later, once it had dried, his hair was straight as a board! We looked up my baby pictures and confirmed that not only is he a spitting image of me when I was a baby but that I also had straight hair when it was dry and it finally became curly when dry at 5 months old. I kept thinking around Maxwell's 5 month mark that we'd see his hair stay curly, but no luck, still straight when dry and very curly when wet!
