I mentioned before that because we were seeing a fertility specialist we get to hear the heartbeat earlier that most couples, at 7 1/2 weeks. For us, that day fell on Wednesday, March 28 and we've never been so nervous and anxious!
Mike and I decided to record the heartbeat. We thought it might be a fun way to share our news with family and friends.
Once we start the ultrasound, I'm getting more nervous because I remember what it looked like last time, when it wasn't growing. This time around it looked different and Dr. Vaughn was immediately able to point out the beating heart!!! We had a heartbeat! It was the most wonderful sight and sound ever!

Dr. Vaughn tells us that everything looks perfect. We are to come back in two weeks for one more check with him. If all goes well, we graduate from his clinic and start seeing a regular ob/gyn.
With good news in hand, we are off to tell our families!
