Three days after I wrote the post about my lack of symptoms, I had what can only be described as morning sickness. I didn't get sick but felt extremely nauseous all day. After forcing myself to eat, I felt a little better. I think it was a warning of what was to come the following week. I started to feel EXTREME hunger pains the next week all day long. I learned my lesson after the first couple days and by the middle of the week I had my snacking down. Every couple of hours I had to eat something - usually a piece of fruit, cheese or nuts. If I didn't eat a snack or meal before the hunger pain hit, I felt like I was going to pass out or throw up. So began the regiment of all day eating that I still do to this day. The thing that surprised me most is that I would wake up in the middle of the night STARVING! A friend suggested keeping something on the night stand but luckily that hunger in the middle of the night didn't last long.
As for symptoms, I'll gladly take extreme hunger over being sick all day. I'm just trying to make sure my snacks are healthy whole foods.
The other not so fun to talk about symptom that appeared after my earlier symptoms post is the frequent peeing! TMI - I know, but I usually get up 3 or 4 times during the night. In the beginning, the waking up would keep me up for hours a night but I've gotten use to it and usually fall right back to sleep.
